No huge audience. No viral moment. Just a Pinterest pin, a Benable list, and someone who clicked the link.
I’ll be honest — I didn’t expect it to happen so fast.
Week two of running Abi Explores AI, I got a notification. Someone had clicked through one of my links and bought a Jo Malone fragrance. A real purchase. Real commission. From something I’d set up once and hadn’t touched since — and that felt like everything.
Here’s exactly what I’d done, and how you can set up the same thing.
What Is Benable?
Benable is an app where you share your favourite things and earn commission when someone buys through your link. It works with over 40,000 brands — including Look Fantastic, Space NK, ASOS and loads more — so whatever you’re into, there are products you can recommend.
You create lists — think of them like a curated shop — and when someone clicks your link and buys, you earn. No minimum follower count. No approval process. No waiting around.
It’s genuinely one of the simplest ways to start earning from content you’re already creating.
How I Used It In Week 2
I didn’t do anything complicated. Here’s the exact process:
1. I asked AI to pick my signature summer fragrance. I told it I was a coffee shop mum with a London lifestyle, feminine and fresh, wanted something expensive-smelling and perfect for summer. It came back with five picks — Jo Malone Wood Sage & Sea Salt, Maison Margiela Beach Walk, Tom Ford Soleil Blanc, Byredo Bal d’Afrique, and Baccarat Rouge 540. All with prices, all with reasons.
2. I added all five to a Benable fragrance list. Each one linked through Look Fantastic so I’d earn commission if anyone bought. Took about 15 minutes.
3. I created a Pinterest pin about it. “I Asked AI To Pick My Signature Summer Fragrance” — with the products, the prices, and a link to the Benable list at the bottom.
4. Someone found the pin, clicked through, and bought the Jo Malone Wood Sage & Sea Salt Cologne. That’s it. Pin goes up, Benable link does the work, commission comes in.
I set it up once. The pin kept working. The link kept working. I didn’t have to do anything else.
Why Benable Works So Well With Pinterest
Pinterest is a search engine. People go there looking for recommendations — best summer fragrance, red lipstick for fair skin, luxury perfume worth the money. They’re already in buying mode.
Benable gives you a clean, simple place to send them. Instead of a long blog post with affiliate links buried in the text, you have a curated list of exactly the products you talked about. It’s easy to browse, easy to buy from, and it works on mobile.
The combination of Pinterest traffic and Benable lists is genuinely powerful — even with a small audience.
How To Get Started On Benable
Benable has a waitlist — but you can skip it with my link and get straight in.
Join Benable here and skip the waitlist — it’s free
Once you’re in, the setup takes about 20 minutes:
- Create your profile
- Build your first list around something you already know and love
- Add products from brands you genuinely use
- Write a short description for each one — honest, specific, why you’d buy it
- Share the list link in your Pinterest descriptions, blog posts, and anywhere else you’re creating content
That’s genuinely it. You don’t need a big following. You need good recommendations and a way to get people to them — and Pinterest does that for you.
